1895 - Alfred forced to sell

Alfred held the consolidated estate until the 1895. During his tenure he spent hundreds of pounds on trying to solve the drainage problems to permit the sub-division of the land. He even contemplated the demolition of Mundarrah Towers and, in March 1892, sub-divided Lots 4 & 7 and attempted, unsuccessfully, to sell allotments in the subdivision.

The 1895 depression saw him overextended and he was forced to transfer his interests in the estate to his siblings, Frank and Christopher Bennett and Rose Heaton.
