After May 1932 when the Elizabeth Street office was moth-balled, the last surviving Bennett publication, The Woman’s Budget, continued as a Sun Newspapers Ltd publication at the new Sun building in Elizabeth Street, at the top of Martin Place.
The Women’s Budget was finally incorporated into the Associated Newspapers publication Woman in December 1934 and S Bennett Ltd was finally wound up on 30 December 1936.
Such was the following that the Budget had established over its 28 year life, that in its masthead Woman still carried the words “Incorporating THE WOMAN’S BUDGET” into the 1950s.
